Catherine Finch

I now work at Cyncoed as Academic Librarian for the School of Education.

I graduated with a combined BA English and Media degree back in 1991 and did a variety of jobs until I found my calling working as a library assistant in Nottinghamshire.  After qualifying in 1997 from Aberystwyth with an MSc Econ in Library and Information Studies, I lived and worked in London until 2004.

I’m a Chartered librarian, with experience in the public, media and academic sectors.  I am also a teaching Associate of the Higher Education Academy.

I’m severely deaf with wonky vision, so please don’t worry about waving or tapping me (gently) to get my attention.    Just speak clearly and avoid covering your mouth.

At home, when not running around after our two small children, I enjoy watching films and playing piano badly!
